A Day in the Grasslands

“Let’s take a break mom” -O.

We escaped and went on an adventure recently to the Lyndon B. Johnson Grasslands in Decatur, Texas and it was the most replenishing feeling. We were exhausted and dirty but the hike was beautiful and the company consumed my heart.

If it’s been a while since you have, go take a walk. Let the the wind and sunshine hit your face and when all is said and done, sit down in the sand, take a break, eat the cookie and leave the chocolate on your face.

I am luck y to have a counterpart to walk along with in life to remind me to stop and rest. Stop may not always mean to not move and rest may not always mean to lay. In our world at times it means to let the laundry pile a bit, so that we have more moments and memories to look at.

Looking forward to my next post as I have lots more photos to share. Have a beautiful week!

A Beautiful Budget

IMG_9253.jpg

Let me introduce Kelley + Paul, a beautiful couple so deeply in love, it bring tears to your eyes. Aside from being heir photographer,my husband and I are so lucky to call them friends. When Paul reached out to me about a surprise engagement, I was beyond excited. In fact, excited is an understatement. Seriously guys, I was a freak lol.

He planned the entire thing. He knew the setting and had the ring. That's where I came in. With a a little guidance and set plan we were able to surprise Kelley beyond measure. A few best friends in tow, a photographer and soon to be bride and groom all appeared at Trinity Park in Ft. Worth TX. Its was the perfect day with gorgeous weather. Weather sent from God indeed because prior to that day it had rained for about a week straight. We went back and forth on changing the location but Paul just held on. Before we knew it, as we were exploring and dancing our way thought the park, Paul fell to one knee and nervously proposed to his beautiful wife.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago! Guys... they are hitched!!! October 26th became the best day in their world and I was humbled to be apart of it! So why is this title- A Beautiful Budget, because yall, you would be blown away by their wedding! They had it at Bear Creek Park in Keller, TX, rented the space for $100 and had a complete DIY ceremony and reception.

IT WAS EVERYTHING! Between Kelley + Paul and their entire crew they did everything themselves, from alter and aisle decor to table settings and food. A beautiful cake made by the mother of the groom and a complete sound system and dance floor brought out to party. The park was a beautiful setting to accompany their fall wedding and I am beyond excited for their new life together.

As I wrap up editing, I thought Id share just a few of my favorites!
